The County Administrator serves as the County's chief administrative officer, reporting to the Board of Commissioners, and provides oversight to fourteen appointed departmental officials and provides fiscal and management support to the County's 15 judges and five elected officers. The County Administrator also serves as the administrative liaison to elected County officials, and other municipal and non-municipal organizations and efforts.

Animal Services and Enforcement protects people from animals and animals from people through education and enforcement of state law and local ordinances. Animal Control operates the County's only animal shelter. Dog licenses (required at 4 months of age) may be purchased here year-round. All bites (including the owner's own dog/cat/ferret) must be reported to this office.
