Kalamazoo Community Mental Health Services (KCMHS) is the mental health authority for Kalamazoo County, Michigan. All public funding for mental health services for Kalamazoo residents is authorized and flows through KCMHS.

KCMHS assures a comprehensive and coordinated array of services available to Kalamazoo County consumers who may have a mental illness or developmental disability. The Access Center at 418 W. Kalamazoo Avenue with 24 hour availability of trained mental health screeners, can assist all community individuals with information and referrals, crisis screening and intervention, pre-screening and authorization for potential admission to inpatient services and comprehensive assessment/admission to additional KCMHS services.

The Kalamazoo County Land Bank Authority was created under the provisions of the Michigan Land Bank Fast Track Act, 2003 P.A. 258, 124.571 et seq., and the Intergovernmental Agreement by and between the Michigan Land Bank Fast Track Authority and the Treasurer of Kalamazoo County. The Kalamazoo County Land Bank is dedicated to improving the quality of our neighborhoods, retuning tax reverted property to the tax roll, and providing innovative concepts to home ownership.

The Law Library is open regular library hours and material for both attorneys and laypersons is available. Local attorneys provide free monthly legal consultations and occasional seminars.
