The Environmental Health Division will follow procedure outlined below when responding to a request for information pursuant to the state and federal Freedom of Information Acts (FOIA). Phone requests for information will not be accepted and the requestor will be instructed to complete the FOIA requisition form (pdf).

If more than 20 pieces of paper need to be copied and/or it takes more than 20 minutes to compile the requested data, the administrative assistants will notify the requestor that there will be a fee charged for the service. Documents will be released once the fee is received. Multiple requests received on the same day from the same individual or organization will be treated as a single request and billed accordingly.

The requests are processed within five working days. If a search involves more than five addresses or a complicated data conversion/manipulation operation, the requesting party will be notified by phone, and it will be recorded on the request that the five working days limit will be exceeded.
