VACCINES FOR CHILDREN (VFC) PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY
The Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services Department (KCHCS) participates in the Federal "Vaccines for Children" program that provides vaccines to children who have Mediciad, no insurance, no insurance coverage for vaccines, or are Native Alaskan or Native American Indian. You could also qualify if you have met your wellness cap for the year and you have no further immunization coverage. Please call your insurance provider to find out if you have any immunization coverage. If you have any portion of the vaccines covered, you need to receive immunizations at your physician's office.
PRIVATE INSURANCE BILLING FOR VACCINES
We have a private supply of all vaccines available for those who have private insurance that we bill. If we cannot bill your insurance you will need to pay market price for the private vaccine. Prices for these vaccines vary. Please call 373-5242 or 373-5238 for more information.
