Trail construction from Mayors’ Riverfront Park to River St. in Comstock began in early April, and is slated for an October completion. Beginning at Mayors’ Riverfront Park, a bridge will be constructed over the Kalamazoo River. Following the water’s edge to King Highway, the trail will cross the road and head east before ending at River St. in Comstock. The trail will be constructed between the highway and the river, and the surface for this section will remain consistent with the existing 14 miles of KRV Trail – including paved asphalt and wooden boardwalks.
