Presented by the Kalamazoo Geological & Mineral Society. This year experience Michigan Mining. There will be a model train detailing Michigan mining, geode cracking, amazing displays, silent auctions, specimen tables, mineral mine, Petoskey stone polishing, hourly door prizes and a grand prize drawing. Great family fun and learning for everyone from toddler to 100! Proceeds go to scholarships for WMU Geology students. Admission: $3, Children under 12 are Free. AMB Spring Event 2012
Hosted by Woven Together in Kalamazoo, a basket-weaving guild. Pre-registered class will be taught by experienced teachers. The Guild is also offering Make-It, Take-It classes on a drop-in basis. Cost: $2 to $4. Hours: 9am to 4pm. Make-it, Take-It baskets include: fly-swatter, lipstick what-not, spring fling basket or key chain basket for beginning weavers. Presented by the Junior League of Kalamazoo. Children of all ages will enjoy a hands-on opportunity to see, learn about, and explore an assortment or unique vehicles like fire trucks, police cards, and heavy machinery. West Michigan Apple Blossom Cluster Dog Show
AKC Dog shows featuring All Breed shows, Obedience Trials and Rally Trials.
All breed puppy match on Friday night (come practice!) and Canine Good Citizen testing on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-2pm. Location will be posted in Main Expo. In order to qualify, dogs should have some obedience training, be socialized and able to interact calmly with other dogs and people. The certification (if qualified) is issued by the American Kennel Club.
Admission: $5 per vehicle, or $20 for a 5-day vehicle pass.
