Serving the Older Adult Population in Kalamazoo County, Michigan.

The Area Agency on Aging IIIA provides leadership and advocacy on aging issues in Kalamazoo County. It is one of 16 regional agencies designated by the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging to identify the greatest needs of older persons and coordinate services to meet those needs. Our main goal is to provide quality services that enable older persons to live independently with dignity, in their own homes or chosen places of residence.

The target age group for service eligibility is primarily persons age 60 and over or their caregivers. Emphasis is placed on assisting those with the greatest economic or social need. Services may be at no cost or on a sliding fee scale, depending upon the program.

Region IIIA Area Agency on Aging works to assure the highest quality of life for older persons through a person centered approach to service delivery, information provision, and advocacy.
