Hospital Compare The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) launched this website to allow consumers to get information about how the hopital facilities in their area measure up. Data on 17 different quality measure will be available, such as the proportion of heart attack patients who were given aspirin upon arrival, the proportion of heart failure patients who received self-care information upon discharge, and the proportion of pneumonia patients who received an antibiotic within four hours of arrival. For each performance measure, there is a bar chart showing how a facility performs relative to all hospitals in the state and to all hospitals in the country.
