Animal Services and Enforcement
LOST AND FOUND
The pets located on this page are either lost and the owner is in search and needs
your help, or the pet was found by someone and they are holding the animal in their care until the
owner can be found. To report a lost or found pet, contact us by calling business hours at (269)
383-8775. These animals will be updated daily. If you do place a lost or found ad here, we only ask
that if you find your animal or if your animal is returned to you, you let us know so that we may
remove the animal from this listing. Animals placed on this listing will be removed 10 days from
the date the animal was listed. If your pet has not been located within that time and you wish to
keep looking, just call to place the ad again. This will help us to keep the list from becoming out
dated.
If you are looking for a lost pet, and you do not see it here, please come down to Animal Services and Enforcement and
take a look in the shelter. Animals in the shelter are kept for 7 days before being offered up
for adoption. If you come down to the shelter after you realize your pet is missing, then come
back the same day each week, you will never miss your pet if it is turned into Animal Services and Enforcement.
This is especially important for cats that are missing. We are forced to euthanize many wonderful
and loving cats because owners never think to come to Animal Services and Enforcement to look for their missing
cat.
In the near future we will offer real-time photos of the animals in our shelter so that you may look
for that missing pet or that perfect pet to adopt from the convenience of your own living room.
This will take new software in the shelter which we are working on. Until we have this technological
capability, we still ask that if you are missing your pet to please come down to the Animal Services and Enforcement
Shelter to take a look for yourself. We may not be able to pick out your animal by a description
only. What one person calls brown, another may refer to the same color as red. The only way you can
be sure that your pet is or is not here is by looking for yourself.
