The Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners is seeking area residents
interested in serving on county-wide boards: Currently applicants are being sought for the
following boards and commissions. (Please note that some of these groups require specific
qualifications.) Interested citizens can contact the Board of Commissioners office (384-8111)
to obtain an application or click the above link, locate the specific description of the board
in which you are interested, and download the associated file linked at the end of that
description.
Animal Services & Enforcement Advisory Board
Provides advice on animal control issues to the Animal Control Department and Board of Commissioners. Meeting times are every other month on the second Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Animal Services & Enforcement. (1-2 vacancies)
Kalamazoo County Transportation Authority
The purpose of the Kalamazoo County Transportation Authority is to plan, promote, finance, acquire, improve, enlarge, extend, own, construct, operate, maintain, replace, and contract for public transportation service by means of one or more public transportation systems and public transportation facilities within the jurisdictional boundaries of the County of Kalamazoo. Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m (starting times can vary) at the County Administration Building. (1 vacancy)
