The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS) has released draft rules and the application process for all body art facilities to assure they are in compliance with Public Act 149. State Law requires every body art facility to complete an application form with payment for the required license and then to request an inspection from the local health department which has jurisdiction along payment for associated fees. All body art facilities need to be inspected and approved for licensing before January 1, 2010.
