Community Assessments and Reports
One of the functions of the Kalamazoo County Community Action Agency is to identify and report on the unmet needs and concerns of people with limited incomes. The Kalamazoo County Community Action Agency has established this site to provide the community and interested other people with assessments and reports that illustrate the conditions of poverty in Kalamazoo County, the perspective of low-income people on the overall community conditions and their personal experiences.
Full studies on poverty in Kalamazoo County and the needs of Head Start families are completed every three years. Annual updates are completed to identify any major changes in the conditions or experiences of low-income households.
This page will also contain links to other reports that may be of interest as they become available. Anyone interested in previous community assessments can request them from Bev Riley at 373-5066.
