The Well Child program provides quality physical check-ups to eligible children. The family is educated about the benefits of continuous health care, effective parenting, proper immunizations and other childhood health issues.
The Clinic does FREE physicals for camp, daycare, sports, and school by appointment only. It does not provide sick child services.
Available to children from birth through age 18 who are residents of Kalamazoo County, and who do not have regular Medicaid, Healthy Kids, or MIChild, but who meet income guidelines.

What are Child Health Clinics?
A place where your children can get a physical check-up, immunizations (shots to prevent disease), and information about normal growth and development. Camp physicals, daycare physicals, sports physicals, and school physicals can be done at the Well Child Clinic.

Children from birth through 18 years of age, who are residents of Kalamazoo County, and who do not have Medicaid (Healthy Kids) or MIChild.
What is the cost of the clinic?
FREE! Your family must meet financial guidelines (200% or below of poverty level).
Where and when are the clinics?
- Third Tuesday each Month at the Portage Community Center, 325 E. Centre Avenue, from 8:00 - 10:30 a.m.
- Fourth Tuesday each Month at the Comstock Community Center, 6330 Kings Highway, from 8:00 - 10:30 a.m.
