The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Center provides free disposal and recycling services for a wide variety of household chemicals. The service is FREE for Kalamazoo County residents, with the exception of the City of Galesburg.
The HHW Center is open three days per week year round, with no appointment needed. The Center is located off Lake Street, next to the Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds. Please click Hours for more details.
Other participating municipalities with free service include Berrien and Calhoun counties, Almena and Paw Paw townships. Please note that as of November 10, 2014, Antwerp Township is out of funds and residents will need to pay to recycle materials.
The fee for Galesburg residents will be approximately $14.75. The fee for out-of-county non-participating residents will be approximately $40.75. Both of these fees are dependent on the quantity of materials brought in for disposal.
