Free Pesticide Disposal
Pesticides are collected free of charge through the Clean Sweep Program which is located at Kalamazoo County's HHW Center 1301 Lamont Ave, Kalamazoo, MI.
Who can use the program?
Any Michigan homeowner, farm, greenhouse, nursery, golf course, or other end-user of pesticides can use this service.
What can I bring?
Old, unwanted, out-of-date, unusable or banned pesticides are accepted. Banned pesticides such as DDT, Chlordane, Lindane, older Woodlife wood preservative, 2,4,5 -T and Lead Arsenate are especially welcome.
How much can I bring?
Bring whatever you have. There is no limit. However, if you have large quantities of pesticides (150 pounds or more) please call and make an appointment. Call Tom Dewhirst at 269-383-8741.
Is there anything not accepted?
For residents or businesses outside of Kalamazoo County, you may bring only pesticides. No fertilizer, spreader sticker, paint or other chemicals are permitted.
