ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (DRUG TREATMENT COURT)

Responsibilities and Qualifications: Provide administrative and clerical support to the Administrator of Problem-Solving courts and Case Managers. Assist with coordinating weekly Drug Treatment Court sessions. Attend biweekly court sessions and record information for entry into computer database. Compile data and generate statistical reports. Maintain computer database and filing system. Collect urine specimens and perform Preliminary Breath Tests. Serve as resource and contact person for program information and referrals.

Associate's degree in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, social work and/or related field; or any comparable combination of education, training or experience. Knowledge and understanding of addiction and of court procedures. Skilled in use of Windows word processing applications with excellent keyboarding and data entry skills. Ability to deal with crisis situations, work independently, and handle multiple tasks. Reliable transportation and a valid Michigan driver's license required.

COURT SERVICES SPECIALIST II
Circuit Court – Family Division

Responsibilities and Qualifications: Coordinate and jointly direct the efficient processing of all child protective, delinquency and domestic cases. Direct and specify appointment of attorneys. Perform bailiff duties for jury trials. Assist Judges and Referees at hearings, schedule hearings, prepare and personally serve court orders to parties present at hearings. Prepare court orders and reports. Research, analyze, docket, scan and enter accurate info to the court's case management system. Certify documents. Respond to inquiries regarding court procedures. Direct, monitor, and provide notice of hearing for all traffic cases. Attend and monitor proceedings. Coordinate a complete program of case management. This is not an all inclusive of total scope of duties.

High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years court or legal experience, or comparable combination of training, education or experience. Skilled in the use of Microsoft computer software, ability to type 60 words per minute preferred. Ability to follow detailed procedures, and prioritize work assignments. Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain composure during confrontational situations. Excellent written and verbal skills. After hire, must be able to be sworn to the oath of Deputy Court Clerk office by the County Clerk. Associates or College degree in paralegal field with 2 years court or legal experience preferred.

DOMESTIC INTAKE SPECIALIST II

Responsibilities and Qualifications: Screen all domestic motions filed with the Court to determine initial course of action based on predetermined criteria. Determine, based on established criteria, eligibility for alternative processes of the Court including inquiries. Determine use of appropriate community resources for addressing issues presented in domestic matters. Determine which matters be referred and docketed for hearings with Judicial Officer. All other duties as assigned.

Extensive knowledge in Family Law, Court Rules, and Court Processes, and community resources. MJI Certification as a Juvenile Probation Officer with in 2 years of hire. Ability to obtain proficiency in case management information systems such as Odyssey, JUMIS, PROCIR, and MiCSES. Extensive knowledge of support and custody determination factors. Knowledge of the law regarding personal protection orders. Must possess highly effective human relations skills and have extensive knowledge of the family dynamics of divorce. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services with 3-5 years case work experience working with youth and families, master’s preferred. Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's License.

PUBLIC HEALTH TECHNICIAN

Should be familiar with computers and common software programs, such as (Word, Excel, and GroupWise). Knowledge of immunizations, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV infections, and communicable diseases a plus. Should have the ability to maintain confidentiality and work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities and Qualifications: Collect entrance fees, provide general park information, and perform light maintenance duties; lifting of 70+ lbs., painting, cleaning restrooms, and picking up garbage. Some positions have mowing and grounds/maintenance focus. Must be attentive to detail, especially when handling money. Variable hours evenings, weekends and holidays will be required.

Proficient in math, able to effectively communicate with park guests, and have ability to work as a team player. Must have the ability to operate Parks vehicles with standard transmission, may include tractors and/or commercial mowers. Previous related experience would be a plus for positions having mowing and grounds/maintenance focus. Valid Michigan driver's license. Drug testing is a requirement of this position.
