Responsibilities and Qualifications: Assist with development and administration of annual operating budget and strategic & business plans. Develop and maintain cash management plan, including fund investments with the Treasurer’s Office, and accounting records to track and project Airport assets, revenues, and expenditures. Periodically present financial statements to the Aeronautics Board. Develop and maintain Airport related business and expense policies; assist with personnel administration functions, including participating as a management team member during collective bargaining process. Administer the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program. Administer the Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) program. Assist with grant management. Assist in establishing Airport Rates & Charges; reviews lease activity. Coordinate Airport risk management.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration, or a related field, with four-years of progressively responsible experience in the management of accounting and fiscal services, or comparable combination of experience, education, and training. Master’s degree in business or financial administration preferred; previous airport accounting experience desirable. Thorough working knowledge of the principles and practices of fund accounting, public finance, accepted general accounting principles, practices, and standards. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to develop positive working relationships with employees, businesses, governmental agencies, and the general public. Working knowledge of computer hardware & software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and accounting software. Must possess effective decision-making skills. Accredited Airport Executive through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) preferred.
