Kalamazoo County Fair Royalty Selected

Kalamazoo, Mich.- The Kalamazoo County Fair and Kalamazoo County 4-H Youth Programs are pleased to announce the 2006 Kalamazoo County Fair King and Queen who will preside over this year's Kalamazoo County Fair, August 7-12.

Congratulations to Nick Stapert and Susan Howard on being selected to represent 4-H this year as the 2006 Kalamazoo County Fair King and Queen.

Nick is 15 and an 8 year member of the Alamo Achievers 4-H Club. He attends Gobles Public Schools. Nick participates in the dairy feed calf, flower gardening, food preparation and woodworking projects. Nick is the son of Dawn and Mark Stapert of Gobles.

Susan graduated from Vicksburg High School and plans to attend K.V.C.C. this fall. She is a 10 year member of the Pavilion Busy Clovers 4-H Club. Her favorite projects are ceramics and flower gardening but she has also taken mini horses, crafts, candy making, clothing construction, art, photography and fashion revue. Susan is the daughter of Nancy and Mike Howard, Scotts.

Nick and Susan will be crowned at the Opening Day Ceremonies & Parade on Monday, August 7th at 7:30 p.m. in front of the grandstand at the fairgrounds.
