Register now for Master Gardener Class
Kalamazoo, Mich.- Kalamazoo County - Interested in becoming a Master Gardener? Want to learn more about what is growing in our area? Registration is underway for the fall session of the Michigan State University Extension Master Gardener class in Kalamazoo County. Class will meet at the Kalamazoo Nature Center on Tuesdays from 4:30 until 8:30 p.m., beginning September 12 and continuing through November 28, 2006.
This in-depth horticultural program will cover the following topics: Plant Science, Soil Science, Integrated Pest Management, Small Fruit, Tree Fruit, Home Invading Pests, Wildlife Management, Turfgrass Management, Woody Ornamentals, Composting, Flowers, Woody Ornamentals, Vegetables and Houseplants.
There is a fee to participate in this class. Class size is limited and registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. To receive a registration packet, call the MSU Extension office at (269) 383-8815 or 384-8197. MSU Extension offers several scholarships to program participants; these are awarded based on a submitted application. Scholarship applications are included in the registration information packet.
