Identifying, Selecting & Training Volunteers

Kalamazoo, Mich.- Do you work with volunteers? Do you have enough volunteers for your organization? Where do you find volunteers? Do you manage youth and adult volunteers the same way? How do you orient and train your volunteers? These are just some of the questions that come up when trying to incorporate volunteers into your organization.

Volunteer management and administration encompasses much more today than it did 20 or 30 years ago. We invite you to join us for a workshop focusing on identifying, selecting 7 training volunteers. This workshop is taught by members of the MSU Extension Volunteerism Area of Expertise Team based on their recently completed curriculum, -Achieving Success Through Volunteers.


When: Monday, December 4, 2006
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon
Where: Van Buren County MSU Extension Office
801 Hazen Street in Paw Paw, Michigan
Cost: $25.00/person if registered by November 17th.
$30.00/person if registered November 18th or later.
Class size: There must be a minimum of 10 people registered for the workshop to be held.
Maximum of 40 participants.
