Master Gardeners Answering Gardening Questions at Local Buainesses

Kalamazoo, Mich.- Throughout the month of May and into June, you may get answers to your questions about growing plants from members of the Kalamazoo Master Gardener Volunteer Program at several retail greenhouses and garden centers. This program, called “Ask A Master Gardener,” is provided free of charge to residents.

Master Gardener Volunteers will be available to answer questions every Saturday in May and again on June 2 from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the following retail centers: Country View Showplace, Gull Meadow Farms, River Street Flowerland, Saunders Greenhouse, and VanderSalms/Flipse Greenhouse & Garden Center.

The Master Gardener Program is a volunteer training and leadership program offered by Michigan State University Extension. It provides research-based gardening information to consumers through a network of more than 300 trained volunteers who provided nearly 10,000 hours of volunteer service to our Kalamazoo County community in 2006.
