Master Gardeners Hold Plant Sale
Kalamazoo County - Spring weather put you in the mood to plant flowers? The Master Gardeners of Kalamazoo County are holding a Plant & Flower Sale on Saturday, May 12, and Sunday, May 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Nazareth complex at 3299 Gull Road in Kalamazoo.
Beautiful hanging baskets, as well as hundreds of flats of annuals and perennials, will all be available. Grown locally, these top quality plants will instantly add beauty to your home landscape. In addition, the timing of this sale allows you to select beautiful gifts for Mothers’ Day (May 13).
Please come early to the Master Gardener Flower & Plant Sale for the best selection of plants. Cash, checks or gift certificates will be accepted for payment. If you would like to purchase a hanging basket as a gift but you aren’t sure what type of plant to purchase, a gift certificate for a hanging basket may be ideal. These gift certificates may be purchased prior to the sale by calling (269) 384-8056.
This Plant & Flower Sale is a fundraiser to help support the Master Gardener program in Kalamazoo County. Master Gardeners receive extensive horticultural training and then share their specialized knowledge with the public through many community service projects. For example, Master Gardeners operate a Hotline where you can ask questions about the plants in your landscape. This service may be accessed by calling (269) 384-8056 anytime. Leave a message and a Master Gardener will get back to you to help answer your question(s).
To receive more information about the Master Gardener Flower & Plant Sale or the Master Gardener Volunteer program, call Linda Whitlock, Consumer Horticulture Coordinator at the Kalamazoo County MSU Extension Office at (269) 383-8815 or email her at whitlo13@msu.edu.
