Harvest Festival Carnival

Kalamazoo MI. – The annual Harvest Festival Carnival sponsored by Kalamazoo County 4-H Youth Programs will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Health & Community Services Bldg (Nazareth Complex) 3299 Gull Road (corner of Nazareth Road and Gull Road). This carnival event features a safe evening for young children to dress in their Halloween costumes, show off their decorated pumpkins and just have fun with old fashion games. Admission is free to the public.

Games cost 25¢ so it’s a pretty inexpensive evening for families with young children. All the old favorites are here like the cake walk, fish pond, ring toss, darts and lots more games and activities like a treasurer hunt and dunk tank. There are plenty of good snacks to purchase including make your own sundaes, nachos, pie, cider and donuts.

The costume parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. and everyone participating will receive a free game token. The Pumpkin Contest winners will be announced at the end of the evening and the top three vote getters will receive a small cash prize. Everyone gets to vote on their favorite pumpkin so the earlier yours goes on display the better. Please join us for an old fashion Harvest Festival! If you have any questions contact the 4-H MSU Extension office at 383-8867.
