The County Fairground sits on 130 acres and is located on Lake Street off of Business Route I-94. The Fairground address is 2900 Lake Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49048.

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Kalamazoo County Expo Center and Fairground is to provide quality year-round facilities and open space for a variety of diverse and affordable events that build a stronger community.

Rental Facilities:

The Expo Center and Fairground offers rental rooms, halls and a kitchen for all types of events. Other facilities at the Fairground that can be rented include livestock show arenas livestock barns, a 4,500-seat grandstand and a ½ mile dirt racetrack.

Kalamazoo County Expo Center:

The Kalamazoo County Expo Center offers four rental room/halls totaling 37,571 square feet.

Hazel Gray Building:

The Hazel Gray Building is a 20,000 square feet exhibit hall that can stand alone or be used in conjunction with the County Expo Center.

Camping:

The Fairground offers a campground with 54 improved campsites that is open from early May to mid-October depending on the weather conditions. Each site comes with water and electric. There is a RV dump station on site. The campground also has a restroom with showers. During some special events, at the Fairground, the campground may not be available for non-event camping and different camping fees may apply.

For larger camping groups and camping rallies up to 270 camping units can be accommodated. Groups requiring over 54 campsites are required to get a temporary camping permit.

*Motor vehicle permits are not required at the Fairground.

The Kalamazoo County Fair:

The Kalamazoo County Fair is held at the Fairground in early August of each year. The Kalamazoo County Fair Board sponsors the Kalamazoo County Fair. For more information about the Kalamazoo County Fair please call the Fair office at (269) 349-9791.
