Swimming

Three Kalamazoo County Parks offer swimming beach areas. No Lifeguards are furnished at any Park. People are expected to be responsible for their actions and the actions of any children they may bring to the Park. Cold Brook Park has a sandy swimming beach that compliments the beach area for a day at the Park of picnicking, sunbathing, boating, disc golf or just enjoying time with others.

Markin Glen Park offers a swimming beach on the east side of Westnedge Avenue with a large, sandy play and sunbathing area. A small shelter, tables and grills adjoin the area.

Prairie View Park offers a beautiful swimming beach on Hogsett Lake. It's a great place to cool off in the hot summer months. The sandy beach is surrounded by grass and big, shady trees.
