The Kalamazoo community is invited to gather in Bronson Park on Tuesday, September 11th, at 6 p.m. for our annual 9-11 Commemorative Service.
As the tragedies unfolded on the morning of September 11, 2001, in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, our country was forever changed. On that day, and on the days that followed, we promised that those who perished would not be forgotten. We pledged to honor the men and women who served, protected and defended our nation that day – and those who continue to do so each and every day. We vowed that our renewed love of country, patriotism and national pride would not fall by the wayside.
To fulfill these promises and to rekindle our vows, we will gather on September 11, 2012, and we will remember.
Program participants include Lori Moore, WKZO Radio Morning Host, who will emcee the program, Rabbi Harvey Spivak of the Congregation of Moses, and John McMullen, Worship Director of Centerpoint Church.
The featured speaker will be Mr. Pat Anderson, Michigan resident and Lansing economist, who was in the World Trade Center on 9-11-01.
Date: Tuesday, September 11, 2012
Place: Bronson Park, Kalamazoo, Michigan
Time: 6:00 P.M.
In the event of inclement weather, the service will take place at the First Methodist Church adjacent from Bronson Park.
