Kalamazoo County Animal Services and Enforcement

The public will be able to reach ASE staff via phone during regular business hours at 269-383-8775 or via e-mail.

Owner redemptions of stray animals will be handled by appointment only. No owner surrendered animals or stray animals will be taken in through the shelter until the department is re-opened to the public.

ASE will have Officers available to respond to emergency calls only (requests from law enforcement agencies for assistance, sick or injured animals, cruelty or neglect cases, vicious dogs running loose, animal traffic hazards, bite animals not confined after the bite, and any other calls deemed to be emergencies by administration.

Our new shelter is open!

This is an exciting time for our staff and the citizen of Kalamazoo County as we watch many years of hopes and dreams become a reality.  Visit our home at 1316 Lamont Avenue – right down the road from our previous shelter.
