Advisory Boards & Commissions

Eligibility: All members of the Committee must be residents of the county who have served honorably on active duty in the United States Armed Forces, and shall have demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in public service, business, or finance. At least 1 member shall represent a congressionally chartered veterans' organization within the county, to be appointed upon the recommendation of the posts of each chartered veterans' organization within the county. At least 1 independent member shall also be appointed, who may or may not be a member of a congressionally chartered veterans' organization within the county (MCL 35.621). Please attach a copy of your DD214 to this application -- applications will not be considered without this document.

3) Do you have demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in the following areas: public service, business or finance?   

4) Are you a member of a congressionally chartered veterans' organization within Kalamazoo County?   

The Board of Commissioners desires minority representation on its appointed commissions. You may choose to identify yourself as a minority. Checking "yes" or "no" will neither qualify nor disqualify you for the appointment.
