Marriage Records (1831 - present)

Marriage records are a matter of public record. The license is recorded in the county in which the applicants lived at the time of their marriage. Out-of-state applicants record their marriage license in the county in which they were married. All copies issued by this office are certified and serve as an original document.

How to Obtain a Certified Marriage Record

Marriage records can currently be requested in person, by mail or drop box, by email, or fax. The certified copy of a marriage license will be mailed to you within 5 business days of the receipt of the request.

Divorces

Divorces are recorded at the 9th Circuit Court. Please visit the Frequently Asked Questions for more information.

In order to obtain a copy of your Judgement of Divorce please put your request in writing and mail to:
