9th Judicial Circuit Court
Dashboard - Victim Restitution
Why It Matters
Victim restitution is money collected by the court and disbursed to the victim. Court efficiency is indicated if money disbursed is equal to or greater than money collected in a given year.
Restitution is not held by the court unless the victim cannot be located. If after two years the victim is not located, the money is sent to the Crime Victim Rights Unit through the State of Michigan.
