8th District Court - Criminal Division
All criminal cases, for persons 18 years or older, begin in the district court.
The 8th District Court handles misdemeanor cases from arraignment through sentencing, and felony cases from arraignment through preliminary exam. The District Court Probation Department plays an integral role in the judicial process, including conducting pre-sentence investigations and post-sentence supervision.
