Emergency Preparedness

Kalamazoo County Public Health Emergency Preparedness works to protect our community and its residents through prevention, response, and rapid recovery from public health emergencies and disasters. This is accomplished through:

  • Preparedness Planning and Readiness Assessments
  • Surveillance and Epidemiology Capacity
  • Communicating Health Risks and Health Information Dissemination
  • Education and Training

Through an all-hazard planning approach, the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program assists in strengthening our emergency response and preparedness efforts within the community. Thus ensuring preparedness needs are met and disaster response and recovery are supported within Kalamazoo County.
