STI & Sexual Health Toolkit
Wear One Program
- About
- The Wear One campaign was developed to increase free condom availability, create awareness and promote acceptance of condom use in individuals 18 - 24 years of age. The goal is to decrease STIs and unplanned pregnancies; by removing barriers such as cost, embarrassment and lack of access.
- The Wear One campaign began in 2014 out of Ottawa County, Michigan. Condoms are made available to local businesses for community members to pick up FREE condoms during normal business hours. By making condoms available, accessible, and affordable, we reduce barriers for those people who need them. These barriers may include cost, embarrassment, and/or lack of access.
- In 2018 Kalamazoo County became a partner in the Wear One brand, joining nearly 30 other counties in Michigan.
