Summary::
Issue park permits, collect fees, assist with event preparation, set‐up, and operation, provide information to the public, and perform maintenance duties to ensure admittance to facilities within guidelines and to provide a clean, safe park.
Responsibilities:
- Issue park permits, collect fees, and monitor vehicles for valid permits.
- Assist with event preparation, set‐up, and operation.
- Provide information and assistance to the general public.
- Prepare receipt records, daily deposits, and other records to provide proper accounting of activities.
- Assist in providing clean, well-maintained, and safe facilities by performing janitorial duties, and maintenance work, including operating mowers and driving Parks vehicles.
Thirty positions (30): Variable hours, evenings, weekdays, weekends & holidays. 20-40 hours per Week focusing on customer service in parks and campgrounds, performing light park maintenance duties, and cleaning park facilities.
Seven (7) positions: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, focusing on mowing, trimming, and park maintenance.
Qualifications:
Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED certification and be a minimum of 18 years old. Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license and pass a background check. Drug testing is a requirement for this position.
Experience: Effective communication skills, ability to do simple math, ability to operate vehicles.

Summary:
The purpose of this job is to oversee and perform the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and facilities at the organization's Expo Center. Coordinate event services, including setting up and tearing down event spaces, establishing deadlines, coordinating and supervising work of Expo Center operations team members while supervisor on duty, coordinating work of direct reports, and contacting vendors for necessary resources. Provides customer service during community events.
Responsibilities
- Maintains buildings, equipment, facilities, and grounds of the Expo Center. Operates equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts, tractors, lawnmowers, etc.).
- Participates in work planning for facility maintenance and operations; identifies and resolves problems, monitors workflow; oversees maintenance projects; and supervises the work of assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Coordinates facility setups and logistics for special events; meet the needs of event promoters and contract holders.
- Provides customer service to customers and visitors; respond to questions, provides information, and resolves problems or issues that arise during events.
- Performs risk management assessments; implements emergency procedures; enforces rules and regulations and ensures promoters adhere to policies and contracts.
- Coordinates services from outside vendors for operations to support events and to maintain and operate buildings and grounds.
- Performs related work as required.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience in building maintenance and operations
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
