Kalamazoo County Youth Fair

Due to the impact of COVID-19 the traditional Kalamazoo County Youth Fair will NOT be held in 2021. Events listed below are only for 4-H Participants and their guests with the exception of the 4-H Livestock Auction on August 12.

The 2021 Kalamazoo County Youth Fair is planning an event that is focused on providing our 4-H youth an opportunity to show their projects. The Fair will be held August 9-12, 2021. This event will be not be open to the general public. It will be limited to 4-H friends and family.

4-H Entries – Entries will begin on June 24, 2021 in Fair Entry. The entry deadline will be July 1, 2021. Check back soon for the link!

4-H Project Guidelines

There will be a $25.00/person exhibitor fee for each youth entering an animal project. For youth entering only still project the exhibitor fee is $5/person. There will be a family maximum of $50.00 for exhibitor fees. Please reach out to your community club leader if you need scholarship assistance.

Camping

Camping will be available on-site at the Expo Center & Fairgrounds for 4-H families. The Expo Center will begin taking campground reservations on June 24, 2021 and the deadline for camping reservations is July 31, 2021. Camping will be $20.00/night plus a $5 reservation fee. Campers may arrive as early as Sunday, August 8, 2021 with check-out on Thursday, August 12, 2021.

We are working hard to bring together all these details and will continue to communicate information as quickly as possible. While we won’t be having the “traditional fair” we are planning to add some fun activities like a food trucks, a movie night, etc. for 4-H families to be able to enjoy in the evenings!
