Verified Options for Donations to the Family of Ryan Proxmire

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has worked in cooperation with the Collin Rose Memorial Foundation to establish a means for area residents to make donations to the family of Deputy Ryan Proxmire.  Two ways of donating have been checked, verified, and are the recommended ways residents can show support for the Proxmire family.

The Collin Rose Memorial Fund is an established organization that benefits fallen law enforcement officers.  Collin Rose was a former Kalamazoo County resident and Officer with Wayne State University who was killed in November 2016.  Collin’s coworkers have expanded the Collin Rose Memorial Fund in an effort to help families of fallen officers.

While other funds may be established, they are not always checked to guarantee that all proceeds are paid to the family.  The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has verified that the Collin Rose Memorial is structured and operates such that 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be turned over to the Proxmire family.

Donations to this fund may made at

For residents wishing to make donations in person, an account has been set up with Lake Michigan Credit Union.  Residents may go to any Lake Michigan Credit Union branch and make a donation to the “Deputy Proxmire Donation” fund.
